Procrastination

Yup.  I'm doing it.  Right now.  Supposed to be 1) grading my finals; 2) re-matting a picture; 3) doing laundry; 4) revising my drawing for this week's assignment, 5) contacting the credit union, the DMV (okay, it's Sunday, but I've been not doing those for a couple of weeks now), 6) many more things, I'm sure, but . . . I'm not.  I'm thinking about it, though.

It's so easy to find other important things to do.   Writing a blog post.  Visiting your blog.  Playing with the little kitty we're fostering for two weeks (see above).  Staring off into space (which my ex used to call "Receiving signals from the mother ship").

But in the end, procrastination gets me nothing but anxiety followed by a mad rush to get whatever it is done on time.  And that takes a toll, I think -- I spend more time thinking about what I have to do than I probably would spend doing the thing itself.

Do you procrastinate?  On what kinds of things?  Do you have ways of tricking yourself into getting something done?

I procrastinate on the weekends because I hate to give up any part of my non-work days to something that might be like work. And in the end, it all gets done eventually.

procrastinate, oh yes. if it can be put off i will put it off. especially if i have an art project going on, which is most of the time. i figure i'm a grown up now, i can play first instead of only after all my chores are done. life is to short. the chores will never be done anyway.

Procrastination is a true art form! Glad to see that you are mastering it as well as I am! Why do today what you can put off until tomorrow!!!!

What a sweet little kitty.

I rarely procrastinate except with paperwork sometimes. With everything else I am pretty good.

Fostering a kitty, yay! Glad there are people like you who can do it...I would want to foster animals(if my two cats would allow it)but am thinking I would end up owning a farm ;) Sweet post, and I chose to think of it as re-prioritizing and not procrastination!
