I really enjoyed the classes I took and all the things I learned over the year. I took online classes and in-person classes. I met really nice people. I learned a ton. I may still be incompetent at watercolor (I am), but I love it and I'm determined to improve.
What do you think? Do you do any of these kinds of art?

I've been taking a lot of classes this year too. I decided this is my year to learn. I especially love the art journaling, but I've only taken a photoshop version. I really should find a real one where I get my hands dirty! The only bad thing is I've been neglecting my blog and I haven't visited other blogs as much lately. It's very exciting that you are learning so much about art and I'm so happy for you to get to retire soon! You will definitely not be bored!
Hi Deb -- thanks for your comment! The art journaling class I took was given by Christy Tomlinson ( http://www.scarletlime.com/workshops.html ) It was so much fun, and I learned a lot. Each week she posts a large number of videos, which you can go through at your leisure, and you have access to them for several months after the workshop is over. I did the "She Had Three Hearts" one, and I really enjoyed it.
i very much like the watercolor w/ tree silhouette!
